Do any of the library's databases have mobile apps?

Answer

Most, if not all library databases, are designed to work on computers, tablets, and smartphones.  So, whether you're searching from a tablet, smart phone or computer, begin at the library's website and select Databases on the right to see a complete list.

Here are the databases that we have that have apps available:

  • EBSCO: Research and connect to content across the library's EBSCO databases. Search for EBSCO in your app store to download. You will use your SAU username and password to connect to McKee Library.
  • Flipster: Flipster is a digital magazine newsstand that supports students and faculty inside and outside the classroom. More information about Flipster can be viewed here.
  • Overdrive: Listen to McKee Library's Overdrive collection of audiobooks on the Libby app. More information about Overdrive and the Libby app can be viewed here
  • BrowZine: Browse journals by title, subject, or ISSN. Create custom bookshelves and set alerts for new content.
  • Kanopy: Browse thousands of streaming films on Kanopy. Also available on Apple TV and Roku.
  • Films on Demand: Browse thousands of streaming films from Films on Demand.
  • UpToDate: Answer clinical questions anytime, anywhere with this app. More information about creating an account for this database can be viewed here
  • Micromedex: Access the evidence-based content you rely on anytime, anywhere. More information about creating an account for this database can be viewed here
  • Naxos Music Library: Access to over 144,400 recordings and 2,230,000 tracks, available for streaming and downloading.
  • Transparent Language: Take your language learning on the go with this app. To use the app, you will need to first create an account on the Transparent Language database from the library's website.
