Q. Does the McKee Library provide scriptural commentary or interpretation?

The Librarians who work at Southern Adventist University do not provide opinions or interpretations on any topic, including religion.  We provide instructional guidance on using the resources we provide at the Library and facilitate the acquisition of information for students, faculty and staff of Southern Adventist University.

The McKee Library has several resources that may help you locate the answer.  We have created a Research Guide under the topic of religion that has several core resources you may want to access to locate an answer to your question, located athttp://southern.libguides.com/religion.  Also, the Library has several Bible commentaries, including the SDA Bible Commentary, which are located in the reference and general collections.  To locate a Bible commentary in the McKee Library collection, search the online catalog at https://www.southern.edu/library, and click on the tab “Books and Media.”  The SDA Bible Commentary is also located online athttp://text.egwwritings.org/publicationtoc.php?bookCode=3BC.   In addition to our resources in the Library, you may also want to contact a professor in the School of Religion athttp://www1.southern.edu/academics/religion.html.  Furthermore, you may want to contact a local church pastor at http://www.adventist.org/utility/find-a-church.
